WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY CAKE?
Some weeks can book out in advance, however, we will always do our best to accommodate your cake order. As soon as you have your date, you can always secure a spot with a booking deposit.
HOW DO I ORDER A CAKE?
We recommend that you make an initial enquiry by email, giving us the date, the number of guests you need the cake to serve, the serving size (coffee or dessert) and any design ideas so we can give you an approximate price.
To confirm your order, a 50% deposit is payable, with the balance being due two weeks before the event.
HOW MUCH WILL MY CAKE COST?
The final price will depend on the size of the cake / number of serves required, and the complexity of the design.
Each cake is quoted on an individual basis.
We have a minimum order of $150.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY CAKE?
Please refer to our terms & conditions for full details on payments.
However, a 50% deposit is required to secure the booking. The balance is then due TWO WEEKS prior to your event.
We accept a direct deposit into our account, alternatively we have credit card facilities. ( However, a credit card payment will incur a 2% surcharge.) Cash is not accepted on the premises. And balances cannot be paid on the day of collection.
CAN I TASTE YOUR CAKES?
Absolutely. You may order a sample box of four flavours of cake. We package it up & include some other sweets that may be on offer that week. The cost of this box is $20.
CAN I HAVE A DIFFERENT FLAVOUR IN EACH TIER?
Yes! You can have a different flavour in each tier.
With each flavour of cake, we will team it with the complimenting flavour of ganache.
DO YOU CATER FOR SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?
At this stage, we only offer Gluten Free cakes in Chocolate or Vanilla Bean flavours.
CAN I HAVE FOAM “DUMMY” TIERS?
Yes absolutely. If you prefer a really large cake that gives visual impact, but only have a modest guest list, then we can use dummy tiers to create the preferred size.
ARE WE ABLE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
We only do consultations for brides & grooms. Due to time constraints we are not able to meet with every client. Most details for cake orders, can be finalised via email & the telephone.
DO YOU DELIVER AND WHERE TO?
Yes, we deliver all our cakes throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area. Delivery charges vary, depending on the distance from our studio at Castle Hill. Please contact us for a quotation.
HOW WILL MY CAKE BE PACKAGED?
All our cakes will be delivered or ready for collection in a waxed cake box, and depending on the height, may not have a lid.
IF I DECIDE TO COLLECT MY CAKE, HOW WILL I TRANSPORT IT SAFELY?
If your cake has multiple tiers, there will be internal supports to ensure its safe arrival at your destination. We also provide non-slip matting to place under your cake box.
A flat solid surface is the best location in your car; an empty clear boot, or the passenger side of the vehicle on the floor. Definitely not a car seat!
CAN I COLLECT MY CAKE THE DAY BEFORE MY FUNCTION?
Yes, providing you make prior arrangements with us, we can organise to have your order completed the day before.
HOW SHOULD I STORE MY CAKE?
The majority of our cakes are covered in fondant, and should NOT be stored in the fridge, as this causes condensation. An air conditioned / cool room is best, and then once the cake is cut, the decorations can be removed, and then the cake can be refrigerated for a week, or frozen into smaller portions.
Please remember to store away from small children and family pets.
HOW DO STORE MY SUGAR FLOWERS & FIGURINES?
Again, these items should not be refrigerated or frozen. Please wrap in tissue paper & place in a cardboard box with silica gel sachets.
CAN I BUY YOUR SUGAR FLOWERS OR FIGURINES ON THEIR OWN?
Sorry our sugar work is designed and created exclusively for each order. These items are not sold separately.
DO YOU PROVIDE A CAKE DESIGN SKETCH?
Some cakes do not require this service, however, if we are creating something just for you, we can provide a rough draft. Once the deposit is paid, then a full colour sketch can be requested.
